Summer Daniels
Summer believes counseling is a place where you can be seen, heard, known, and acknowledged by another person, a purposeful relationship with a counselor who is committed to partnering with you as you face life’s ups and downs. She believes counseling is and remains relevant because of the powerful potential of healthy relationships which can be a catalyst to finding hope and healing together. She will show up to each session ready to listen, collaborate, and be fully present with you.
Summer is a registered mental health counselor intern in the state of Florida. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science from Oklahoma State University as well as a Master of Science degree in Counseling from John Brown University. As she assists you with your particular needs and goals, she will utilize an integrative, person-centered approach that may incorporate acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, or art therapy. She is passionate about helping people view their lives from multiple perspectives in order to gain new insight that in time can foster healing, empowerment, and hope. She is also a firm believer in the power of moving to action when needed, and she loves to help clients identify and draw from their strengths to implement solutions that will have a ripple effect of positive change in their lives.
When Summer is not with clients at Skylight, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, gardening, going to the beach, listening to audio books, studying/practicing yoga, and painting. Summer looks forward to partnering with you as you create space to take steps toward living a life that is more free, balanced, and fulfilling.
