Alexandra Thomas
Alexandra Thomas is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern who believes that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing. She takes a holistic, person-centered approach to counseling, recognizing each client as a whole person with unique experiences, strengths, and values.
She knows reaching out for therapy takes courage, and her goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can be themselves. Alexandra believes the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change and strives to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. She views counseling as a collaborative process in which clients are the experts on their own lives. She is passionate about helping people heal, grow, and create meaningful change by combining her understanding of behavior and mental health.
With a background in applied behavior analysis, Alexandra brings a unique behavioral perspective to her counseling work. She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals navigating eating disorders and hopes to continue developing her specialization in this area.
