Jennifer Rios-Duque
Jennifer is an advocate for mental health and community service. Her desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others is rooted from her academic and professional experiences. Upon graduating from Rollins College, she worked directly with at-risk youth in an urban setting creating a long-lasting impact in underserved communities with City Year. Her enthusiasm, drive, and compassion motivates her to utilize her talents to bring awareness to mental health, self-care, and youth empowerment.
She achieved her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with the hopes of assisting others who are willing to seek counseling. As a licensed mental health counselor, she works with children, teens, adults and couples experiencing low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, life transitions, difficulty with time-management, family conflict, and relationship issues. Jennifer’s approach to therapy is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, and Solution Focused.
Jennifer loves to travel, bake, spend time with her loved ones and go mini-golfing. She also enjoys volunteering, playing sports, and looking for new adventures. Jennifer believes counseling can be for anyone regardless of their circumstances. No matter what one is going through, remember all people are important and can take the next step to seek help. No problem is too big or small and it is never too late to seek counseling.
