Kelly Patton
Kelly has her master’s degree in Marriage, Couples and Family therapy and is a registered mental health counselor intern. She also is a nationally board-certified music therapist and values incorporating creativity and expressive arts into her work for clients who may benefit.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Florida State University in 2016. Kelly then went on to work as a music therapist for several years in the medical setting working with children, adults, and their families to help them cope with major medical diagnoses and illnesses. Kelly also has experience providing group music therapy to adolescents and adults with eating disorders. It was from Kelly’s work as a music therapist that she discovered her true passion for counseling. She returned to school and earned her master’s degree in Marriage, Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida. As a counselor, Kelly has experience working with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addiction, relational issues, stress management, and family conflict. She has additional specialized experience and training working with couples and families. Kelly is passionate about cultivating a space for her clients where they feel safe, comfortable, and empowered to address their concerns and start making changes in their lives for the better.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys going on long walks in nature with her pup, Tuco, finding new restaurants and food to enjoy with her husband, traveling to new places and staying in touch with her close friends. Kelly also loves visiting her family’s lake house in Georgia where she can be found water skiing and boating with her family. She feels it is a privilege to share the therapeutic space with her clients and be a part of a journey for them that brings growth and development in their lives.
