Jessica Hopkins
Jessica Hopkins is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. Her foundation to therapy is to create an inclusive, person-centered environment that empowers clients to express their authentic selves. Jessica provides a safe space to explore yourself and your identity without stigmatizing labels. Jessica enjoys working with many populations, but is passionate about the LGBTQ+ community as well as the Autism/ADHD community.
Her treatment specialities include LGBTQ+ issues (coming out, internalized homophobia/transphobia, family dynamics), ADHD/Autism and other neurodiversities, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
Jessica brings an eclectic approach to counseling, which means she will adapt her interventions to your unique needs. Jessica’s intervention techniques are grounded in empowering clients to cultivate confidence, restore self-esteem, and navigate the journey of self-acceptance. Jessica works collaboratively with clients to find their inner strength to create healthy boundaries, overcome challenges, and regain control over negative thoughts.
Jessica graduated with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. While obtaining her master’s degree, she worked with various populations such as families/individuals in crisis, as well as survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. After graduating with her master’s degree, she has worked with a wide range of individuals to successfully overcome substance abuse, improve self-esteem, as well as managing and treating anxiety/depression.
Along with helping people, Jessica is passionate about helping animals and has six of her own! She also enjoys spending time in nature, drinking coffee, doing puzzles, and research.
