Maddie Carlson
Maddie Carlson is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern who is passionate about the power of walking alongside clients in therapy. She earned her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton college and her Bachelors in Psychology from Southeastern University. She holds specialized certifications in trauma and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
Maddie believes in the transformative power of life stories—how they shape us, reveal our strengths, and illuminate meaning in life. She believes that her role is to walk alongside clients as they explore their story with compassion, curiosity, and courage.
Maddie specializes in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, life adjustments, relational issues, and difficulty with emotion. Through a trauma-informed lens, Maddie strives to create a safe and grounded space where healing can unfold at your own pace. Her approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy and, above all, is client-centered.
At the heart of her work is collaboration. She sees each client as the expert of their own life, and she brings her clinical experience to support and guide the process. Whether you're seeking healing, clarity, or growth, we'll tailor our work to align with your goals and values.
Outside of counseling, she enjoys reading, spending time at the beach, spending time with friends and laughing with her husband.
